Participants will be encouraged to challenge themselves around their understanding of their experiences, identities and how that impacts the work they do. The reflection sessions will offer participants an opportunity to continue to discuss and deepen their understanding of the work they have engaged in during the workshops. In this session, we will engage in the Compass in order to sustain and deepen dialogue about race, racial identity and institutional racism. This will give participants the opportunity to listen deeply to better understand each other’s perspective and to sustain the conversation when it gets uncomfortable or diverted.
Participants will be introduced to the Courageous Conversations Compass and will have an opportunity to practice, navigate, and commit to using the Compass.
